General Job Description:
This position is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the clinical services and participates in the development of the protocols that guide program compliance, expansion, and implementation. This position has the responsibility of ensuring that the counselor interns, practicum students, and volunteers are providing adequate clinical services to clients. This position is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide team leadership for staff relative to the development of the specific treatment program
- Ensure that all clinical staff are operating within the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) guidelines and compliance standards are followed accurately
- Supervise and support the clinical staff with the performance of their duties
- Facilitate weekly clinical staffings
- Review Juvenile Probation Department, state-funded, and other placement-related referral packets
- Maintain effective communication with staff regarding the timely reporting of all incidents, infractions, and other issues involving the client’s behavior and other clinical services processes
- Incorporate various audio visuals into the group sessions
- Oversee the daily maintenance of adequate record keeping practices to ensure that all clinical charts and records remain in compliance with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and other state regulations
- Supervise the collection of all appropriate data from the clinical staff as well as outside vendors in an efficient manner to ensure that all reports are prepared and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
- Schedule clinical trainings for clinical staff as needed
- May participate in the development of resources to support the program objectives within the community on an as needed basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, sociology, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Currently certified as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)
- Currently certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Extensive knowledge of clinical services operations
- Able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to various audiences
- Able to take the initiative on various tasks
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record
